When was the Foundation formed?
The Artists 4 Foundation was formed in August 2009.

Is the Foundation a 501(c) entity?
Our application for tax-exemption is pending, and if approved will be retroactive to the date of inception.
Given the nature of cash flows, where revenues flow directly to tax-exempt charities and not through the Foundation, we are confident that our application will be approved.

How does the Foundation work?
The Artists 4 Foundation is a platform connecting artistic talents (musician, painters, photographers, you name it!) to charitable organizations. The Foundation 's goal is to simply create something from nothing, that is tapping into the talents of various artists who wish to make a difference by donating their time and energy towards a charitable cause.

What is the criteria for organizations to be eligible for consideration as beneficiaries of these projects?
Organizations must demonstrate their charitable nature and must have tax-exempt status.

How can I become involved?
The Artists 4 Foundation is looking for help in many ways from administration, marketing, design, intellectual property, networking-the list goes on and on.
The good news is that becoming involved doesn't require a major commitment if you don't want it to. The purpose of the Foundation is to foster innovation and creativity in a positive way. If this suits you, please contact us at info@artists4.org and share your thoughts and ideas.

How does the Foundation make money?
The Foundation does not generate revenues, but instead relies on donors and grants to support its efforts. This prevents conflicts of interests when it comes to making sure proceeds from the sale of our works end up where they should, in the hands of worthy charitable organizations.

How did this come about?
Most people with special talents have been told by others to never waste their gift. Turning that gift into making a difference in the community can be a daunting task if done alone, but yet by creating a platform for artists to interact with a higher cause in minds, small contributions can make big differences in the lives of those who are less fortunate. Allowing an audience to play an active role in the success of these projects by spreading the word of our work allows each and every one of us to make a difference.

What's next?
That partially depends on you. What's on your mind? Please participate and share in our success.

Thank you,

Mark J. Kodenski
